The Poetic Research Bureau presents another edition of the SUMARR Reading Series, programmed by Diana Arterian. This iteration features writers Brandi Wells, Arthur Kayzakian, Amy Gerstler, Priyanka Mattoo, plus more to be announced.

Brandi Wells is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at California State University, Fullerton. They have a PhD in Literature and Creative Writing from University of Southern California. Their novel, The Cleaner, was published by Hanover Square Press/Harpercollins in January 2024.
Arthur Kayzakian was a finalist for the 2023 Kate Tufts Award, and the winner of the 2021 inaugural Black Lawrence Immigrant Writing Series for his collection, The Book of Redacted Paintings, which was also selected as a finalist for the 2021 Philip Levine Prize for Poetry. He is the recipient of the 2023 creative writing fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and a Mines Savvas Fellowship. He is also a contributing editor at Poetry International and serves as the Poetry Chair for the International Armenian Literary Alliance (IALA).
Amy Gerstler’s books of poetry include Index of Women (Penguin, 2021), Scattered at Sea, (Penguin, 2015), which was longlisted for the National Book Award, and Dearest Creature (Penguin, 2009) which was named a New York Times Notable Book. She received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2018 and a C.D. Wright Award from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts in 2019. Her work has appeared in a variety of magazines and anthologies, including The New Yorker, Paris Review, The Atlantic, American Poetry Review, Poetry, several volumes of Best American Poetry and The Norton Anthology of Postmodern American Poetry.
Priyanka Mattoo is a filmmaker, former talent agent, and a co-founder of Earios, a women-led podcast network. She is a contributor to The New York Times and The New Yorker, and a recipient of a MacDowell Fellowship. Her memoir Bird Milk & Mosquito Bones was published by Knopf in June.
