The Poetic Research Bureau's live magazine of film, poetry, talks and music returns for its 24th issue. This time the matinee session's work, spell and drift were shaped in part by poet Peter Gizzi, in weekend residence at 2220, and Jonathan Hepfer (director of Monday Evening Concerts). It'll be a Sunday afternoon full of textual, cinematic and sonic wonders on the theme of threshold states.
THRESHOLDS: waking/dreaming/sleeping, health/illness, interior/exterior perception, life/passage/death.
Readers include:
Rosmarie Waldrop (live by video)
Jean Ma (on cinema and sleep)
and Andrew Maxwell, in person with new poems
Films by
Mary Helena Clark
Bruce Conner
Ken Kobland
Naoko Tasaka
Apitchatpong Weerasethakul
Musical episodes and interludes selected and performed by Jonathan Hepfer.
In the 2220 theater, always free and open to the public.
This is an all ages event.
